1950年代のB.DAVIDの王冠モチーフのビジューブローチ"Mother's Crown"。

B.DAVIDの作品の中でも、当時最も有名で人気のあったお品です。 "Mother's Crown"と呼ばれたのは、出産した母親へのお祝いとして贈られたから。

ブローチは一点一点手作業で制作され、どれ一つとして色と配置が同じものはありません。着用する母親の子供の誕生石カラーのストーンをセットする、カスタムオーダーも承っていたとか。

こちらのブローチには、トパーズオレンジ、アクアマリンブルー、アメジストパープル、ガーネットレッド、エメラルドグリーン、ピンクにラベンダー・・と色とりどりの鮮やかなラインストーンがセットされており、カラーコンビネーションが非常に美しい一品。

ご自身や大切な人たちの誕生石カラーはあるかな、と探してみても楽しいかもしれません。

【B. DAVID(ビー・デヴィッド)とは】 
1945年にアメリカ・オハイオのシンシナティーで創業した、家族経営のジュエリーブランド。大きくて豪華な他のコスチュームジュエリーメーカーの作品とは対照的に、小ぶりで繊細なデザインが特徴です。B.Davidの作品で最も有名だったのは"Mother's Crown"と呼ばれる王冠のブローチでした。着用する人の子供の誕生石を王冠にセットしたブローチで、出産した母親へのお祝いとしても非常に人気でした。ブランドは1993年に閉業。

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
