Indicaties
Behandeling en preventie van vlooienbesmettingen (Ctenocephalides) gedurende 7 tot 8 maanden. De werkzaamheid tegen vlooien start onmiddellijk na het aanbrengen van de halsband. Beschermt tegen ontwikkeling van vlooienlarven in de onmiddellijke omgeving van het dier gedurende 8 maanden. Seresto kan gebruikt worden als deel van een behandelingstrategie tegen Vlooien-allergiedermatitis (VAD). Het product heeft een persisterende acaricide (dodelijke) doeltreffendheid tegen tekenbesmettingen (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus) en afwerende (anti-voedende) doeltreffendheid tegen tekenbesmettingen (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus) gedurende 8 maanden. Het is werkzaam tegen larven, nymfen en volwassen teken. Het is mogelijk dat teken die reeds aanwezig waren op de hond vóór de behandeling, niet binnen de 48 uur gedood worden na het aanbrengen van de halsband en vastgehecht en zichtbaar blijven. Daarom wordt aanbevolen om teken die al op de hond zitten op het tijdstip van aanbrengen, te verwijderen. De preventie van besmettingen met nieuwe teken start binnen de twee dagen na het aanbrengen van de halsband. Behandeling van bijtende/zuigende luizenbesmettingen (Trichodectes canis). Idealiter zou de halsband aangebracht moeten worden voor het begin van het vlooien- of tekenseizoen.
Contra-indicaties
Puppies van minder dan 7 weken niet behandelen. Niet gebruiken in geval van een bekende overgevoeligheid voor de werkzame bestanddelen of één van de hulpstoffen.
Bijwerkingen
Occasioneel kan er bij dieren die niet gewend zijn een halsband te dragen, een lichte jeuk en/of roodheid waargenomen worden tijdens de eerste dagen na het aanbrengen. Zorg ervoor dat de halsband niet te strak zit. Ter hoogte van de toedieningsplaats kunnen zich licht haarverlies en milde huidreacties voordoen, wat doorgaans binnen 1 tot 2 weken verdwijnt zonder dat de halsband afgenomen moet worden. In bepaalde gevallen, kan het tijdelijk verwijderen van de halsband aangewezen zijn, totdat de symptomen verdwenen zijn.
Dosering
Cutaan gebruik. Eén halsband per dier aan te brengen rond de nek. Honden van meer dan 8 kg krijgen één Seresto halsband van 70 cm lang. Enkel voor uitwendig gebruik.

Pretty hard to clean

We've had this for about a week now. I have 2 dogs, one small one about 55lb. I bought this for my big girl, but lil man is determined to get the best of this toy. Usually they don't both go after the same toys, so this is interesting.
The trouble is, neither one of them can get all the treats out if something makes it all the way down into the crevice. It's surprisingly deep. The up side is that they'll try for quite a while before giving up. The down side is even if you put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, something stuck deep in there isn't going anywhere until you dig it out yourself.
I tried a plastic knife but it broke the second time I used it in there. I wound up using the metal handle of a reusable straw cleaner. Which then I had to wash that, too. Then it needs to dry overnight before it can be used again.
All in all, the dogs like it fine, it's gross to scrape out and wash, takes longer than most toys to dry, and I have the feeling that will eventually cause me to pass it to someone else's dog long before my two have gotten tired of it. At this point I'm pulling out of the toy rotation for a week or two because I'm not ready to clean it a third time.

Hyena Proof

I have an American Bulldog that would chew a brick if he didn’t have an alternative lying around. They won’t last forever (nothing does) but we’ve had two of these over the course of a year and for him that is nothing short of a miracle. And that is daily chewing like it’s his job. I highly recommend the Acornucopia for aggressive chewers with jaws like hyenas…so it’s probably great for your dog too.

This is a great ball for my dog Polly! It doesn't stink or have any weird oils on the ball. It is definitely durable. It has a nice chirping sound and it's great exercise for my dog's jaws. It's not too bouncy and it's the perfect weight that she feels satisfied having in her mouth and when she catches it in mid-air. It's not too heavy that I have to worry about it knocking her teeth out. I almost cancelled the order after I found out the size of the ball, I thought it was a larger ball that Bark makes. It turns out it is larger than a tennis ball which is what I wanted. Someone gave us a black, knobby, ball that is 12.5 inches in diameter and she absolutely loves it, it's her favorite ball. It's the perfect size for her American Pit Bull mouth! I cannot find this product anywhere or a comparable alternative that's the same size. If you know where I can purchase another ball that I've described @ 12.5 in. diameter, please let me know! I'll likely buy this ball that was just delivered, today, in the future, if it's not discontinued! It's a great deal for only $14.99!! Thanks from a happy satisfied customer, V.B.
