Charles Criner was born in 1945 and raised in Athens, a small town in East Texas. He attended Texas Southern University in Houston between 1964 and 1968, studying under the guidance of the renowned late artist, Dr. John T. Biggers. Criner is noted for his cartoons including the "Johnny Jones" series created while in the Army and later adapted for The Houston Post, "The Job Crowd", "The Dogs" and a few others. He also collaborated with his longtime friend, newspaper columnist and sportswriter William Henry Hygh on the "Johnny Jones" cartoon carried in The Houston Post with Hygh providing the narrative for Criner's art. Criner's art, ads, and cartoons have been featured in Ebony Magazine, Houston Business Journal, the Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and in advertising for the Houston Oilers.

Since 1997, Criner has been the Artist-in-Residence at the Museum of Printing History in Houston, where he operates a studio, further

Criner's artwork is included in numerous prestigious private collections throughout the United States, and has been exhibited at or is in the permanent collections of several museums. Additionally, several of Criner's student works completed during his time at Texas Southern University are published in the 1978 book Black Art in Houston by John Biggers, Carroll Simms, and John Edward Weems published by Texas A&M University Press.

"The Children and George" is Mr. Criner's first children's book. It is the first of a planned series.

made of STONE
i think the concept is great but the execution of the product is lacking. This is not made of rubber, there is no dog I can imagine chewing this thing. It is basically a STONE and rock hard and has absolutely zero give. She tried to chew it for one second and immediately stopped - the only thing the dog can do is lick so that aspect was disappointing. However, the toy works, keeps her attention and she loves the treat so all in all - not bad.

My dogs are heavy chewers
These are very hard and indestructible. The only thing, im afraid my pups will break their teeth. They are houses on a hard wood floor.

My couch is safe!
Perfect for my lab mix, and my pointer mix was jealous so I immediately bought a second after they both wanted it. Keeps them both busy for well over 30 minutes.

Great treat holder!
Our new favorite!! We’d been long time long users but this will forever replace them. Sturdy, easy to clean, convenient cups, multiple fun treat compartments. They are also bright enough to find in the yard if one “runs” out the house. And they are easy for the kids to hold. Must have for a Pitt bull family

She loves it
Color: Octopus
My dog loves this. I mixed plain yogurt and blueberries and froze the two cups. She went to town and it kept her busy for about 15 min. It’s easy to open compared to some of the other toys like this. Easy to clean too.
