For theoretical advancement, it is important that researchers begin to develop a consensus about the meaning of disasters and related phenomena. With the rise in international terrorism, one must clarify whether these events are disasters and if so, what kind of disasters. Similarly, in addition to natural disasters, do we include riots, explosions, nuclear power plant accidents, damn collapses, and land subsidence under the same conceptual umbrella? What practical and theoretical differences does it make if the same label is used or not used for such different situations? What is a Disaster? Brings together twelve social scientists representing eight disciplines and seven countries to share their definition and vision of disasters. In the process, a wide range of views are expressed and issues raised regarding the relationship of academic versus practical definitions, the impact of grouping types of disasters in different ways, and the epistemologies on which theoretical growth should rest. The forum provided involves the presentation of each author's views, followed by a discussant's critique, and closed with a response from the author. Perfect fit! Bought as part of a set for a bachelorette trip and they are so comfy. Look exactly like the listing photos. Wore them through a Pilates class and a day of errands with no issues. Love the baby blue color with white contrast binding. Perfect stretch, fabric squat proof (thick enough nothing shows when you bend) and very durable.

Soft, fit, and love the color

I love how soft these are and the grayish-violet color. They seem well made and wash well- especially for the price. You can’t see through them. They are mid weight so they keep you warm enough for air conditioning and Florida cold. Probably not snow worthy or wind strength though. They are true to size if you want them to fit but not cling or act like leggings. They have just enough room. I bought the matching jacket but I’m more thrilled with just the pants. The jacket fits as it should but not over my too many milkshakes stomach.

Acceptable product. Good fit and fabric feels nice. A little see through if you squat and have on dark or patterned under pants but if you wear undies that are your skin color, there’s no issue at all. I wish they came in a length that was just past the calf. These are a little long to be on my top go to legging for yoga. Minus one star due to lack of length options.

Very cute and comfortable workout set! I bought the leggings and the matching sports bra sold separately. I am 5'4" , 125 lbs and bought a small in each. The leggings are tight but not too tight, doesn't dig in and doesn't roll down. Well made and thick material. Worked great for a very sweaty hot yoga class. I'll be buying more in different colors.

Fall or Winter

For me, these leggings are a perfect fit and perfect for Fall & Winter, maybe early Spring. Summer though, I would not dare.
Comfort wise, the leggings are soft and perfect for the gym, grocery shopping, lounging, even sleep. I passed out in mine and slept just fine.
