Overview

The Cabac TEL1TLV2 is a versatile combined socket polarity and RCD checker. It is designed to check most types of power points for correct wiring and to determine if the ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) trips at each power point. The device features a variable trip current range from 10mA to 35mA.

Applications

The wiring check is indicated by a combination of lights on the front panel. The potential faults displayed by the unit include:

• No earth connected
• No neutral connected
• No active connected
• Active and neutral reversed
• Active and earth reversed

The RCD trip test function ensures that the RCD will trip at the power point and provides an indication of the approximate trip current level required. Please note that this tester, like most low-cost socket testers, will indicate if an RCD trips at the appropriate current leakage fault but cannot be used for testing in accordance with AS/NZS3760:2010, which requires an accurate RCD trip time test.
