Deep Purple are one of the few bands in rock history whose legacy continues to grow with every new chapter. With more than 120 million albums sold worldwide and a catalogue that includes defining records such as In Rock, Machine Head and Made in Japan, the band secured their place among the giants of rock music long ago.
Yet Deep Purple are far more than a legendary name. They remain a vital creative force, filling arenas around the world and showing that their music still carries the identity that made them unique from the very beginning. At the center of the record is a conceptual idea from Ian Gillan: “SPLAT!” deals with the end of humanity, or perhaps Deep Purple, not in any crude apocalyptic sense but as a metamorphosis beyond physical existence.
With this new album, the band continues an impressive streak of consecutive chart-topping releases and brings that momentum to audiences worldwide with the “SPLAT! World Tour”, featuring more than 80 shows across the globe in 2026.
