2017 debut album for singer/songwriter/producer Charlotte Dos Santos. Born in Norway, Charlotte combines soul, jazz, rare groove and Afro-Latin influences, with a warm sense of storytelling and an angelic voice that seems to float over any track it's on. Currently based in Brooklyn, NY - Charlotte has been making waves as of late with sentimentally-timeless singles and keen visual aesthetic. Now Charlotte makes good on all of the potential she's shown thus far with the release of her debut project, Cleo. The project compiles a few lost Soundcloud and compilation fan-favorites ("Move On," "Take It Slow," and "Watching You") with stand-out pieces (including "Good Sign," "Cleo," "King Of Hearts") - all coming together to paint a singular, yet universal, coming-of-age love story. On the album title's significance, Charlotte explains "'Cleo' is a woman who represents power, femininity, courage and independence. She is ambitious and fearless, yet humble. She is the woman I feel I am becoming, and the woman I feel all girls could be." Charlotte wrote and produced the project herself, with Oslo beatmaker Fredfades (of the Mutual Intentions crew) contributing on four songs as well.

A Comprehensive Pocket Guide to Christian Living
Format: Paperback
Looking for a book on discipleship? Not sure what discipleship is, or how it relates to Christian living? Want to learn more about how God grows us and wants us to grow?
May I recommend Mapping Discipleship, a 2025 release from Faith Publications by Charlie Carter, co-host of The Thinklings Podcast (my favorite podcast).
I pre-ordered my copy and read it shortly after its (early 👏) arrival. I ended up using it as my devotions, taking extra time to read the suggested passages and think through the reflection questions.
Some pros of this book are
-its small, short size: the chapters themselves are short, making the book more of a "pocket guide" than an intimidating, extensive treatise.
-its catechism style: each chapter's title is a question that the chapter itself answers with Scripture, personal examples, illustrations and analogies, and practical application. Each chapter builds on the next, so start at the beginning.
-its organization: the division of chapters into 3 parts (recognition, renewal, and results -- not exact) makes for a logical progression easy to follow and to implement.
-its depth: though small, Mapping Discipleship packs a big punch in the way it lays out and digs into foundational truths of Christian living and how we grow. Deep thoughts and rich language. Chew slowly.
Mapping Discipleship's only con (for me) is also its pro: its length. A few places I would have loved more fleshed-out discussion and maybe some additional resources.
I'd love to share some of the quotes that impacted me, but I already lent my copy out to a friend. 😅 Just get your own copy -- you will be challenged and blessed!
