The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Wall Clock brings Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion and the Tin Woodman to life as first imagined by Baum and drawn by talented illustrator W.W. Denslow in the first edition of this magical children’s classic. This all-new treasure of home décor is proudly presented by The Bradford Exchange.
This sculptural first of its kind recreates Dorothy and her friends (and a flying monkey!) in vivid three-dimensional detail, interacting with the cover of the original First Edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz as if they’ve sprung to life out of its illustrated pages. From the shiny silver of Dorothy’s original slippers to the detailed features of the heroes, hand-painted elements bring all the adventure of Oz to life.
No detail has been overlooked. The clock is powered by a precision quartz movement for accurate timekeeping and features simple golden hands, so the brilliant artwork of the cover is not obscured. Below the “book cover,” a golden pendulum emblazoned with the official seal of Oz as depicted in the book’s illustrations moves back and forth below.
